- The Four Corners of Oregon: A series that I still need to watch about going to the four corners of Oregon. A coworkers brother was part of the production.
- Don’t die of heart disease: I’ve been getting some of this stuff tested and taken care of, but need to look at a few more.
- I Drank Every Cocktail: A guy drinks all the cocktails on the IBA list over the course of a few years.

- Japanese zoning: This would be good to read along with the book Emergent Tokyo
- Japanese Culinary Academy eBooks: If you really wanted to nerd out on Japanese cooking then have a look at these books hosted on Kyoto Prefectural University’s website.
Japanese
- Jiten: For helping me find new japanese content that is around my level. It allows importing of your anki stats so you can see the percentage of characters known for a given work.
- NHK Kokokoza: NHK high school “courses” that would be good for additional Japanese studying.
- Japanese Graded Readers: Free Japanese graded readers. One of my favorite resources for learning Japanese. They also have a list of non-free books, which I’ve been able to check out from my local library.
- Gaku: Minna no Yama: A manga about mountaineering, I haven’t read it yet.
Technical
- Fun with pinball: In case I ever actually do the stupid thing of buying a pinball machine and the need to learn how the components function in order to keep it working.
- IKEA 3D models: Download 3D models from IKEA so that when I actually remodel the kitchen I know what fits.
- Fold a zine from one piece of paper: Folding a 8 page zine For tiny little yoruyaki menus.
- Static websites for personal data: I like this idea of having simple local static websites for browsing my data at home. I have a home server that this would work well on. Will I ever implement it? Who knows?
- Bluesky comment section: Using blue sky as a comment section. I don’t have enough of an audience to need this, but maybe in the future?
- Steve Yedlin: Steve Yedlin’s site which has some good talks/demos on color science, film reproduction, HDR, etc.
- Jellyfin Auto Collections: Haven’t installed yet, but this replicates the smart collections of Plex in Jellyfin.
- AudioMuse-AI: Automatic playlist generation that works with Jellyfin. I have yet to install it.
Video
- Japan Slice of Life: Some good little relaxing slice of life videos from Japan. I enjoy the warm tons and the softer look from the black diffusion filter.
